The ponds maintained by LES ETANGS DU MOULIN are situated immediately adjacent to the village core of Bonneil (02400). Visitors arriving by road from Château-Thierry should follow the D963 southward toward the Marne valley, turning onto the communal access road toward Rue de la Francotte.
Site Access & Environmental Etiquette
To protect fragile wetland soils and avoid disturbing nesting waterfowl, motor vehicles are strictly limited to the gravel arrival area at 14 RUE DE LA FRANCOTTE. Bicycles and pedestrian visitors have open access to the designated perimeter footpaths from sunrise to sunset.
Disabled parking spots and reinforced level pathways are available to ensure that mobility-impaired residents can access the water safely. Informational boards located along the bank detail local fish species, bird nesting periods, and emergency contact numbers.

Yes. Walking along the designated perimeter footpaths is completely free and open to all residents and visitors from sunrise to sunset. We ask only that visitors respect the quietude of wildlife and pack out all litter.
How do I register for the 2026 angling season?
Civic angling registration takes place during our Tuesday and Saturday reception hours at 14 RUE DE LA FRANCOTTE. Applicants must sign the 2026 Ethical Catch-and-Release Charter and contribute their annual member solidarity dues.
Are dogs allowed on the pond pathways?
To protect nesting mallards, moorhens, and reed warblers, dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. Swimming of domestic pets in the water basins is strictly prohibited to prevent disturbing fish spawning beds.

Please note that LES ETANGS DU MOULIN does not operate commercial bait shops, boat rentals, or private camping grounds. We are an official non-profit organization (Association loi 1901) committed exclusively to the public interest.
All membership fees and dues are fully reinvested in the association's public interest missions, such as water quality sampling reagents, safety lifebuoys, bank stabilization plants, and youth educational booklets. We thank all community members for respecting our non-commercial heritage.
